10. Preschool and primary school
These two buildings were erected in 1970 (preschool) and 1980 (primary school) respectively on designs by the well-known architect Dolf Schnebli (Baden 1928 – Zurich 2009).

There are numerous examples of his ingenious works in Switzerland and in our canton, mostly public buildings. After graduating from Zurich Polytechnic, Schnebli travelled extensively abroad, spending time in Paris, Zurich, Mulhouse, Venice, New York, Boston and St. Louis, where he came into contact with world-famous architects. In 1958 he set up his architectural practice in Agno.
His first large-scale building in Ticino was the Liceo in Locarno, which was to become a masterpiece of Swiss school architecture.
