Leur vie et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l\u2019embarcation d\u00e9pendaient en effet de leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 conna\u00eetre les vents et leur effet sur le lac. Voici les vents qui soufflent sur le Ceresio depuis des si\u00e8cles.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>Breva<\/strong><\/span>, qui se l\u00e8ve g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement en milieu de matin\u00e9e et s&rsquo;apaise vers le soir. Il est de faible intensit\u00e9. Ce vent souffle de Porto Ceresio jusque sous le Monte Br\u00e8 et annonce toujours du beau temps sur le lac.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\"><strong>Caronasca<\/strong><\/span>, qui descend de Carona vers Campione. C\u2019est un vent d\u2019orage qui souffle fort jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que l\u2019orage \u00e9clate. Il s\u2019apaise avec l\u2019arriv\u00e9e de la pluie.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\"><strong>Porlezzina<\/strong><\/span>,qui souffle de Porlezza en direction de Paradiso et annonce des orages du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de Chiavenna, Sondrio et sur le lac de C\u00f4me<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\"><strong>Tramontana<\/strong><\/span>, qui descend au coucher du soleil des montagnes qui bordent le lac.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\"><strong>Pontetresa<\/strong><\/span>, un vent d\u2019orage qui sort du golfe de Ponte Tresa-Lavena et peut cr\u00e9er de r\u00e9elles difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 la navigation.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Marino<\/strong><\/span>, un vent redout\u00e9 par les p\u00eacheurs car il peut atteindre les 120 km\/h et former de hautes vagues. Il souffle de Capolago vers Melide et de Porto Ceresio vers Agno.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Vento del Nord<\/strong><\/span>, vent glacial qui d\u00e9vale du Monte Bar et de la vall\u00e9e du Vedeggio vers Porto Ceresio et peut atteindre 90-100 km\/h.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Tivano<\/strong><\/span>, vent d&rsquo;orage, qui descend d\u2019Osteno vers les flancs du Monte Br\u00e8 et forme des tourbillons typiques qui soul\u00e8vent l&rsquo;eau sous forme d&#8217;embruns jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 50-100 m\u00e8tres de hauteur. Avec la construction du pont-digue (1847), cette activit\u00e9 cessa. Pour le transport des personnes et des mat\u00e9riaux, les bateliers utilisaient un grand chaland sur lequel \u00e9taient charg\u00e9s le b\u00e9tail, les marchandises e m\u00eame la diligence qui assurait la liaison entre Fl\u00fcelen et Camerlata. Quiconque souhaitait devenir batelier devait se pr\u00e9senter \u00e0 la Maison Communale, \u00e0 laquelle incombait le choix des candidats, qui devaient \u00eatre bourgeois et de constitution robuste. Vingt-cinq personnes \u00e9taient n\u00e9cessaires pour assurer le fonctionnement continu du bac. \u00c0 Bissone, le bac accostait pr\u00e8s de l&rsquo;actuel H\u00f4tel La Palma. Pour donner une id\u00e9e de l&rsquo;activit\u00e9 intense des passeurs, voici les donn\u00e9es relatives aux transports de Melide \u00e0 Bissone durant i cinq premiers mois de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e 1843 : 17 217 personnes, 2 825 voitures, 51 chariots \u00e0 quatre roues, 6 244 colis et sacs de marchandises, 461 chevaux, 3 694 \u00e2nes et bovins.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-image-element existe deux bateaux traditionnels du Ceresio : le chaland de transport, d\u00e9sormais disparu de la circulation (appel\u00e9 barc\u00f3n, porto ou cumball) et la (appel\u00e9e nav\u00e9tt, barch\u00e9tt ou barca piata) barque de p\u00eache \u00e0 arceaux.<\/p>\n<p>Le cumball \u00e9tait une embarcation de grandes dimensions (14-18 m\u00e8tres de long et 4-6 de large) et servait au transport de marchandises, de personnes, d&rsquo;animaux et de mat\u00e9riaux.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-2 avaient un fond large et plat pour faciliter les d\u00e9placements des p\u00eacheurs et leur permettre de passer les nuits de p\u00eache \u00e0 bord, \u00e0 la garde des filets ou dans l&rsquo;attente de les relever. Cette forme conf\u00e9rait une extr\u00eame man\u0153uvrabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;embarcation, qui pouvait ais\u00e9ment pivoter sur elle-m\u00eame, facilitant ainsi les op\u00e9rations de chargement ou de pose des filets. Il fallait \u00e9galement des clous \u00e0 section carr\u00e9e de diff\u00e9rentes tailles \u2013 brunis pour pr\u00e9venir la rouille \u2013 de l&rsquo;\u00e9toupe ou des filaments d\u2019\u00e9corce de tilleul et de la poix pour colmater les interstices entre les planches (calfatage). Pour de nombreuses familles, la p\u00eache constituait l\u2019unique source de revenus. Avant m\u00eame la Seconde Guerre mondiale, une vingtaine de familles bissonnaises vivaient exclusivement de la p\u00eache.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis des temps recul\u00e9s, l\u2019activit\u00e9 de la p\u00eache fut strictement r\u00e9glement\u00e9e. D\u00e8s le Moyen \u00c2ge, les p\u00eacheurs bissonnais \u00e9taient soumis \u00e0 des taxes \u00e0 verser au Duch\u00e9 de Milan. Un sceau \u00e9tait appos\u00e9 sur chaque filet pour attester du paiement et de la conformit\u00e9 de celui-ci. Des lois s\u00e9v\u00e8res \u00e9taient promulgu\u00e9es, particuli\u00e8rement durant les p\u00e9riodes de fraie, afin de sauvegarder le patrimoine halieutique. Les sanctions pour les contrevenants allaient de la simple amende \u00e0 la confiscation des filets ill\u00e9gaux, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la destruction de l\u2019embarcation. Elle se compose d&rsquo;une longue ligne de nylon (60-120 m) lest\u00e9e, appel\u00e9e \u00ab m\u00e8re \u00bb ; de celle-ci partent 6 \u00e0 12 sections di fil d&rsquo;environ 9 m\u00e8tres, appel\u00e9es avan\u00e7ons. Au bout de ces derniers se trouvent les app\u00e2ts : des lamelles brillantes sp\u00e9cialement profil\u00e9es que simulent, par leur mouvement, un vrai petit poisson. Il est \u00e9vident que la vitesse de l&#8217;embarcation est cruciale pour donner le bon fr\u00e9tillement au leurre. Il est \u00e9galement essentiel de bien conna\u00eetre les fonds lacustres pour \u00e9viter que l&rsquo;app\u00e2t ne s&rsquo;accroche \u00e0 des d\u00e9bris.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div Cependant, contrairement \u00e0 cette derni\u00e8re, la spaderna \u00e9tait une technique de p\u00eache fixe, pratiqu\u00e9e \u00e0 des p\u00e9riodes pr\u00e9cises de l\u2019ann\u00e9e pour la p\u00eache \u00e0 l&rsquo;anguille. \u00c0 une ligne m\u00e8re de 50, 100 ou 150 m\u00e8tres de long sono attach\u00e9s des fils lat\u00e9raux d\u2019environ 50 centim\u00e8tres, munis d&rsquo;un hame\u00e7on et d&rsquo;un app\u00e2t. La ligne est soutenue par des flotteurs tous les 15-20 m\u00e8tres, de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 former des festons. Les filets utilis\u00e9s sur le Ceresio \u00e9taient de quatre types :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ceux utilis\u00e9s au milieu du lac pour la capture de truites, cor\u00e9gones, agones et ablettes. Un exemple est la bedina, un filet long de 130 m\u00e8tres e haut de 35, qui \u00e9tait immerg\u00e9 par deux embarcations man\u0153uvrant pour former une sorte de poche o\u00f9 les poissons restaient prisonniers.<\/li>\n<li>Les filets de fond, utilis\u00e9s pour la p\u00eache de rive. Par exemple l\u2019antan\u00e8la, longue de 15-20 m\u00e8tres et haute d&rsquo;environ un m\u00e8tre, lest\u00e9e de petits galets au pied.<\/li>\n<li>Les filets-manteaux, comme le tremag\u00edn (tr\u00e9mail, filet \u00e0 trois nappes de mailles diff\u00e9rentes), utilis\u00e9 comme filet de fond sp\u00e9cifiquement pour la capture de perches, tanches, carpes et brochets ; c&rsquo;est un filet qui se tend verticalement au moyen de plombs sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 inf\u00e9rieur e de li\u00e8ges sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieur.<\/li>\n<li>Les filets-sacs, comme la bott\u00e9ra, longue de 50-60 m\u00e8tres avec des ailes en forme de poche et des mailles tr\u00e8s serr\u00e9es, munie de li\u00e8ges en t\u00eate e tr\u00e8s lest\u00e9e de plombs au pied.<br \/>\nApr\u00e8s usage, les filets \u00e9taient tri\u00e9s, d\u00e9barrass\u00e9s des algues, r\u00e9par\u00e9s et mis \u00e0 s\u00e9cher sur une rang\u00e9e de pieux plant\u00e9s sur la rive.
